Snow Queen

A seasonal Snow Fairy Queen, completed for an upcoming Fae's winter wonderland art show, i love these shows because it gives me the opportunity to do seasonal artworks i know otherwise i would be putting off.

I loved this pose when i first saw it it kinda reminded me of Madonna's Vogue era and initially was planning a pencil graphite artwork and perhaps drawing her as an angel than a fairy but then when the winter wonderland art show came up i had other ideas...
It's much harder capturing someones looks when painting no room for mistakes i knew it would be challenging especially since i decided to do it with watercolors ,i think i went a bit more paler with her skin tones and decided to leave it as it is to reflect the snowy cool winter atmosphere.

Completed on 9x12 Arches hotpress Watercolor paper
with watercolors, TONS of white goauche, and a little watercolor colored pencil
for details especially on the eyes.
