The Lady Of The Sunken City

~Commissioned Painting~

Story: Rakel is the young wife of Aerik Sigmund,
the newly promoted Lord of the Sunken City.
Although their marriage was rocky at first - made so by the suspicious death of his first wife, Ingrid,
and his suspicion that Rakel's father, Hasse Siri, was involved -
the couple is resolving their differences thanks to Rakel's sense of duty and loyalty.

on 140lb Arches Hot Press 9 x 12 watercolor paper.

I used Jessica's beautiful stock for reference
i manipulated the pose to my liking for this one and changed a lot of things to match my clients description of the character, i really wanted to give it a royalty look and feel to it , hope you all like it
